My friend once told me a story we both chuckled at, yet appreciated the depth of the point it made. He once approached his niece, while she was studying for an exam, and offered to watch a video that would provide some cultural context to her studies. She replied:
no, thanks, this is low-yielding material
This quote became our cult classic and "low yielding material" became a technical term we could use to keep our discussions on track.
I thought of this today as someone upon learning I never watched Mr Robot insisted that I must make time for it.
